The Courage Pills play rock and roll music; It's rock and roll in the sense that the songs are fresh and original, loud and raucous, yet still utilize the tones and hooks that people have loved in music for years. Their lyrics and delivery are suggestive of an overactive social consciousness coupled with poetic helplessness. With punk rock undertones and classical finesse, the Courage Pills successfully mix and match a strange and unique span of musical styles.

The members hail from West Chester, PA, half of which attend W.C.U., and have assembled a significant following in the two years they've been together. They have played a variety of shows in town including Spence Cafe, Rex's Bar, and a benefit for Darfur at the popular venue, 15 North. They've also played at Albright College in an effort to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina and at Milkboy Coffee to support victims of the Virginia Tech tragedy, the latter of which was featured on the local news. The Courage Pills have also played at the Reading Oktoberfest and were the featured band at Temple University's 2007 Senior Art Exhibition. Additional Philadelphia venues include The Underground and Tritone.

The Courage Pills' lead guitarist, Michael Schramm, was featured in the March 2007 issue of Guitar Player magazine for his original song, "Dakota." Their music has been on two complilation CDs arranged by Milkboy Recording and L-Cast Records. Their latest effort, "A Dent in My Mind," was released in Fall 2007 and was produced by Big Barn Recording.
